A long standing presence in China’s nuclear sector
EDF Group is the largest nuclear operator in the world. In 1980s, EDF made active contribution to the Chinese nuclear industry by participating as technical lead in the construction of Daya Bay project, the first large-scale nuclear project in China.
In 2008, as the first foreign investor in the nuclear sector in China, in cooperation with its partner CGN group, EDF participates in the development, construction and operation of Taishan project which is now commissioning the first EPR reactor in the world.

In the past 30 years, the cooperation between EDF and its Chinese partners has been extended to different fields such as nuclear engineering, construction and operation.
