Benefiting from the long term experience of its Thermal Engineering Center (Ingeum), EDF supplies consultancy services for thermal assets and partners with Chinese EPC contractors to win oversea tenders. EDF international experience is complementary to competitive Chinese EPC or O&M contractors in the international market.
Its service portfolio covers the entire value chain of thermal generation facilities, ranging from feasibility studies, design, construction, operation to decommissioning.
In the past decades, EDF has been providing Engineering Services for hydro pumped storage projects in China as well as conventional hydropower stations financed by WB or ADB, including technical support to project management, design, equipment inspection and surveillance. EDF DTG/APIC has also been involved in equipment’s inspection of Three Gorges project Long Tan project financed locally.

Also, EDF China’s Asian Procurement & Inspection Center (APIC) provides expediting services, equipment inspection services on factories’ shop, quality control and supplier evaluation in China for CSG (China South Grid).

. In September 2016, EDF was chosen to partner the state-run company WAPCOS in designing an infrastructure of 75 000 smart meters for the New Delhi municipality. Acting through its subsidiary Citelum, the Group also maintains and operates public lighting systems in the Indore and Ahmenabad municipalities.
In South–East Asia, EDF has active grid consultancy services in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal and Indonesia.
