Lingbao Biomass
Lingbao biomass heat network will not only allow the municipality to phase out the small coal-fired boilers but also enable local farmers to earn additional income by reusing agricultural waste as biomass fuel.

The commissioning of the biomass plant is planned for the beginning of 2019 and the heat network will cover up to 2 million m2. In the context of the fight against air pollution, this project offers an effective solution to satisfy the city’s needs to reduce its coal consumption without compromising the comfort of its 720,000 inhabitants during the heating season.
Once completed, this project will be able to avoid the emission of 150,000 tons of CO2 each year. In addition, Lingbao’s orchards, one of the biggest in China, will be the main source for the biomass plant, which will create additional income for farmers in this region by reusing agricultural waste.
